‘No-Touch’ Breast Augmentation
Keller Funnel
Dr. Moliver uses the “No-Touch” breast augmentation technique to avoid any contamination of the breast implant, which involves using the Keller Funnel to place implants. He enhances the procedure’s safety by irrigating the implant pocket with an antibiotic solution (with the patient given antibiotics intravenously during surgery).
The surgery is completed in an efficient, timely manner of about 35-40 minutes generally. This efficiency is due to a trained team that has worked together under Dr. Moliver’s training for years. Less OR time is related to less infection. The patient is typically in our facility no more than 2 hours. Out of town patients can come in the day before surgery and leave the day after surgery.
Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
Women who want a modest increase in the size of their breasts can opt to have fat taken from another part of their body and used to augment the breasts. Dr. Moliver uses liposuction to harvest fat from the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or another area where it’s unwanted, and then spins it in a centrifuge to remove impurities. The pure fat is injected strategically into the breasts. This natural approach to breast enhancement is also an option for women who want to avoid getting breast implants.
Safety Is the Priority
Dr. Moliver was among the first plastic surgeon in the Houston area to create an operating room at his practice 25 years ago. The OR is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF), the gold standard for safety. His involvement in breast implant safety extends throughout his career and he has never used textured implants, which have been linked recently to a rare form of lymphoma and have been taken off the market.
